The cure for writer's block. If you don't get your word count, the screen turns progessively brighter red until you get the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song blaring at you. Dr. Wicked's Write or Die app. -Head Trickster
StupidInternetTricks.com is once again amazed to see the resourcefulness of the populace to exploit Teh Interwebs™ in a clever way. Jason makes $85K/year selling ad space on his tshirts. -Head Trickster
Want to know how much this endless and pointless company meeting is costing you? Want motivation to end it as soon as possible? The Meeting Ticker should help. It keeps track of all those inane details like how much money you burned by listening to that one guy tell the story about his drive to work this morning. -Vice Trickster in Charge of Vice
Wow. This site converts any YouTube video to mp3 audio files. Take advantage of this service as much as you can before it gets pulled down for copyright violations. Great idea, though. -Vice Trickster in Charge of Vice
Justin has been tweeting for 1 month today. He's posted less than 1 tweet a day. And he has almost a quarter of a million followers on Twitter.
Who is Justin and how did he acheive this feat? Justin (28) lives with his parents (73). In August he began posting things his dad said to Twitter. That's it. -Head Trickster
Scotty Iseri was a freelancer.
After 7 years of freelance work, he decided to take the plunge into a 9-5 office job.
We're interested in him because he immediately began making once a week videos of his office adventure. It involved office hijinks, an ongoing battle with a coke machine, and eventually he even got fired. And it made it onto one of the videos.
The video at the top is one of my personal favorites where Scotty meets with a "social media guru" that his boss hired.
At the end of Season 2 he responds to his boss' attempt to rehire him with a strip show and "the bird". It's incredibly juvenile humor, but it's endearing. And he officially wins the SIT award of 2009 for using the internet and his tricks to both get fired and hired from jobs.
Now, after garnering a massive devoted following, he's been offered a job in Australia by a PR Agency called Klick.
Watch Season 1 and Episode One.
Now, here is the Season 2 episode where he gets fired.
Go here for Scotty's Blip page. Watch it from the beginning by scrolling back onto his page history. They're short and easy to watch.
Let's all follow him on his trip to the great Land Down Under. -Vice Trickster in Charge of Vice
Here's a real net trick. Forget the actual content (making a radio play out of your screenplay) and notice what ProducersCantRead.com has done. They have a website without paying hosting fees. The trick is pretty simple:
1. Register a domain.
2. Make a video with annotation links.
3. Put it on YouTube.
4. Redirect the domain name to the URL of the video.
I've commonly heard the statement, "Vice Trickster, you're worth your weight in gold!". It's usually from the mouth of the Head Trickster, and I've always figured it was some kind of insult. Turns out I'm worth around $1.9 million. I guess I owe the Head Trickster an apology. -Vice Trickster in Charge of Vice
